Your team: Situated within News UK’s commercial department, the eCommerce Team focuses on driving revenue through expertise, thought leadership, and innovation while creating the foundations for future revenue streams. You will report into the Head of Affiliates and Partnerships and work closely with individuals from the team as well as key stakeholders from our broadcasting businesses.
Your role: As the Retail and Luxury Affiliates Lead, you will manage strategic affiliate opportunities and partnerships within the retail and luxury sector. This position focuses on driving commercial relationships and identifying opportunities that deliver high-impact results for News UK. Bringing an analytical mindset and a collaborative approach, you will build great ideas alongside clients and partners to help grow and drive our overarching partnership strategy.
Day to day you will:
- Act as the primary point of contact for affiliate networks, tech partners, and direct retail partners to secure exclusive rates, tenancies, and "first-to-market" opportunities for retail categories and luxury.
- Review contractual agreements and consult with legal teams to ensure full adherence to industry regulations.
- Drive the tenancy revenue and meet performance targets within the retail and luxury vertical.
- Develop the affiliate and partnerships growth strategy across retail and luxury, executing departmental plans alongside the Head of Affiliates and Partnerships.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, marketing, commercial tech, and editorial, to create and maintain a strong affiliate offering.
- Analyse partnership performance data to provide insights for content optimisation and commercial strategy.
- Negotiate commercial terms with partners using data-backed insights on underlying economic metrics.
- Identify, research, and make recommendations on new business partnerships and opportunities for News UK.
- Deliver robust reporting and accountability detailing revenue forecasting on a monthly basis.
- Use data-driven insights to monitor Earnings Per Click (EPC), conversion rates, and average order values, pivoting strategy based on real-time performance.
