You will be joining the Customer Optimisation team, part of the wider Times Media customer and Customer Operations area. Our mission is to deliver front‑end optimisations and experiments that enhance customer journeys and digital experiences to drive direct business value.
We are looking for a talented and passionate Front End Developer - Software Engineer to join our London Bridge‑based team, reporting to the Experimentation Lead. You will be instrumental in enhancing the front‑end of The Times and Sunday Times digital products, collaborating with internal marketing and subscription stakeholders to deliver a high‑impact experimentation strategy.
Day to Day You will:
- Develop and enhance robust front‑end digital solutions for The Times and Sunday Times.
- Optimise existing capabilities built by the product team to improve user experiences.
- Execute experiments and tactical implementations to achieve key business outcomes.
- Partner with internal and external digital platform teams to integrate permanent features.
- Manage code reviews and PRs while ensuring high standards for performance and security.
- Participate in technical discussions and business meetings to scope development requirements.
What We’re Looking for From You:
- Experience utilising A/B testing and experimentation tooling such as Optimizely or similar platforms.
- Skilled at integrating third‑party vendor solutions alongside proprietary first‑party codebases.
- Solid understanding of automation testing and maintaining valuable test suites.
- Ability to navigate new codebases quickly and apply agile methodologies within a collaborative team.
- Passion for well‑crafted code with a focus on architecture and engineering best practices.
