Your role

With Times Media growing digital revenues exponentially & executing a digital first brand strategy, our ambitions for the next five years continue to grow. The Digital Sales Manager role will sell market-leading digital only client solutions across digital display, branded content, video, programmatic, social & audio across all platforms to their agency patch, reporting into the Head of Digital. This role will help to drive our external profile whilst growing our digital contacts & client base, whilst at the same time supporting brand sales as a whole with their digital knowledge and contacts & working on cross-platform deals to drive & accelerate digital revenue. They will also work with the Programmatic & Revenue Operations team to maximise agency marketplace deals. Through the management and growth of agency relationships, this role is equally pro-active & reactive, sourcing new contacts and clients & in turn winning digital and programmatic briefs helping to drive digital sales and success for our clients.

Day to day you will

  • Primarily responsible for growing digital sales by building excellent digital relationships across all levels within an allocated set of agencies & bringing in large integrated deals across all digital channels.
  • Pro-actively selling to new teams and clients within agencies that sit outside our core publishing planning & buying teams.
  • Define ambitious growth objectives for your agency portfolio through an articulate business plan.
  • Responding to cross- platform briefs incorporating all products across all platforms to a high-standard
  • Adopt a thorough and analytical approach to digital sales utilising News UK’s 1P data and understanding & utilising all our Nucleus (News UK’s 1P data proposition) platform tools & using all the information to create excellent brief responses and schematics
  • Drive collaboration with the wider commercial teams to seek out, sell and implement new revenue opportunities across News UK
  • Work collaboratively with respective Ad Operation & Digital Account Management teams to ensure we maximise the performance of campaigns whilst delivering excellent customer service throughout.
  • Drive Digital, Audio, Video and Programmatic advertising revenues by developing and maintaining relationships with key agency partners and specialist teams at clients.
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of new business opportunities and grow existing accounts.
  • Negotiate and secure new revenue through premium digital, audio, video activations as well as programmatic deals.
  • Engage with UK and international agencies and clients to expand digital advertising efforts on a global scale and drive revenue growth in new markets.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and regulations, and provide thought leadership and insights to internal teams and clients on the latest developments.

What we’re looking for from you

  • Strong background in digital and programmatic advertising sales, with a proven track record of exceeding revenue goals.
  • Multi/omnichannel sales experience preferred or a proven track record demonstrating multi platform sales within the digital/podcast/video landscape.
  • An individual with a proven track record of new business wins, who will uncover and develop opportunities and build strong working relationships both internally and externally.
  • Considerable network and established contacts with agencies and/or programmatic buyers/planners throughout the industry.
  • Ability to effectively pitch and sell at a senior level to build strong relationships with key clients and agency partners.
  • In-depth understanding of the digital media landscape.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience using data to drive business decisions.
