We are opening a brand new children’s residential home in March 2026, providing a nurturing, trauma-informed environment for children and young people up to the age of 17. We are looking for dedicated and compassionate Residential Care Workers to join the team ahead of opening and play a key role in building a positive, stable, and child-centred home.

The Role

As a Residential Care Worker, you will support children and young people with all aspects of daily living and emotional wellbeing, helping them feel safe, cared for, and encouraged to reach their potential.

  • Provide day-to-day care, support, and supervision to children and young people
  • Create a warm, safe, and stable home environment
  • Support with daily routines, education, appointments, and activities
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with children and young people
  • Use trauma-informed and therapeutic approaches to support behaviour
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to care planning
  • Work effectively as part of a team to meet safeguarding and care standards

About You

We are looking for individuals who:

  • Are passionate about working with children and young people
  • Are caring, patient, and emotionally resilient
  • Can remain calm and supportive in challenging situations
  • Have good communication and written skills
  • Want to grow and develop within residential childcare

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum age: 21 years
  • Experience working with children and young people (residential experience desirable but not essential)
  • Ability to work rota-based shifts including days and waking nights
  • Strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting children’s welfare
