We are recruiting an experienced and passionate Deputy Manager to join a high-quality solo occupancy residential children's home, alongside supporting a respite service, for young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Residential Support Worker or existing Deputy Manager looking to take the next step in their career within a supportive and well-structured service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Registered Manager in the day‐to‐day running of the home and respite service
  • Lead, mentor, and supervise staff to deliver high‐quality, child‐centred care
  • Ensure care plans, risk assessments, and records are maintained to a high standard
  • Promote positive outcomes for young people through consistent, trauma‐informed practice
  • Take responsibility for safeguarding, compliance, and Ofsted standards
  • Participate in the on‐call rota and provide leadership during out‐of‐hours situations

Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare (Level 5 desirable or willingness to work towards)
  • Previous experience in a residential children's home, ideally with EBD
  • Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
  • Sound knowledge of safeguarding, legislation, and Ofsted requirements
  • A resilient, calm, and child‐focused approach
  • Full UK driving licence (essential)
