We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to join a well-established 4-bed residential children's home for boys with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD), based in Enfield.
This role is ideal for an experienced Deputy Manager or a strong Senior Residential Support Worker ready to step up into a leadership position within a supportive and child-focused service.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Registered Manager in the effective day-to-day running of the home
- Lead, supervise, and motivate the staff team to deliver high-quality care
- Ensure care plans, risk assessments, and daily records are completed to a high standard
- Promote positive behaviour management and trauma-informed practice
- Maintain compliance with safeguarding procedures, legislation, and Ofsted standards
- Take part in the on-call rota and provide leadership support outside of core hours
- NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare (Level 5 desirable or willingness to work towards)
- Proven experience working in a residential children's home, ideally with EBD
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Good knowledge of safeguarding, children's legislation, and Ofsted regulations
- A calm, resilient, and child-centred approach
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Competitive salary of Β£35,000 - Β£40,000
