We are supporting an organisation exclusively to recruit an experienced Registered Manager for a brand-new 2-bed children’s residential home supporting young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). This is an excellent opportunity for an established Registered Manager looking to lead from the front, open a new service, and make a genuine difference to children’s lives. You will have full responsibility for Ofsted registration, team building, and service development, creating a safe, structured and therapeutic home environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Ofsted registration process and opening of the home
- Ensure compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations & Quality Standards (2015)
- Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead
- Build and manage a high-performing residential childcare team
- Develop a trauma-informed, child-centred care environment
- Oversee all operational, financial and compliance aspects of the home
- Maintain high standards of care planning and record keeping
- Prepare for and lead Ofsted inspections
- Work in partnership with local authorities and external agencies
Requirements
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (Residential Childcare)
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as an Ofsted Registered Manager
- Proven track record of Good or Outstanding Ofsted ratings
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding and children’s legislation
- Experience managing teams within children’s residential care
- Full UK driving licence (preferred)
