We’re looking for dedicated and resilient Children's Residential Support Workers to join our caring and committed team at a children’s residential home in Maylandsea, Essex. This is more than just a job — it’s a chance to build meaningful relationships, provide stability, and help shape brighter futures for young people aged 5–16 who may have experienced trauma, emotional or behavioural challenges.
About the Role:
As a Children's Residential Support Worker, you’ll be an essential part of a supportive and structured environment, helping young people feel safe, valued, and empowered. You’ll be there through daily routines, challenging moments, and everything in between — always leading with care, consistency, and compassion.
Rota:
- 3 x 14-hour shifts per week
- Shift time: 7:45am – 10:00pm
- Stable and consistent rota pattern for a great work-life balance
Key Responsibilities:
- Building positive relationships and acting as a trusted adult for young people
- Supporting children with daily routines, activities, and emotional wellbeing
- Promoting independence, life skills, and positive behaviour
- Recording accurate logs, reports, and contributing to care planning
- Collaborating with your team and professionals to ensure high-quality care
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience working with children or young people (residential experience desirable)
- Compassionate, reliable, and confident in challenging situations
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organisational skills
- Full UK Driving Licence (preferred)
