The Tichborne Arms, ranked No. 37 in the UK in the Good Food Guide Top 100 Gastropubs and recognised by the Royal Horticultural Society as one of the best pub gardens in the UK, is a vibrant, high-performing country pub with a seriously busy summer season. We are looking for a strong Senior CDP-level chef to join the brigade and help deliver consistently excellent food through our busiest months.

Rate of Pay: £13.00-£14.50 per hour base pay plus strong tronc (typically £3-£6 per hour worked). Additional hours available across a longer season (April - October) for those looking to maximise earnings.

The Role: This is not a junior seasonal role - we are looking for a capable, confident chef who can operate at Senior Chef de Partie level, take ownership of a section and contribute meaningfully to a high-performing kitchen. You will:

  • Run your section independently, treating it like your own mini kitchen.
  • Deliver high-quality dishes consistently, even under pressure.
  • Maintain standards during high-volume, fast-paced service.
  • Support the wider team and anticipate what’s needed next.
  • Delegate effectively when working with junior chefs.
  • Ensure clean, organised handovers between shifts.
  • Contribute to a positive, focused and professional kitchen culture.
