Salary & Package
- £36,000 - £42,500 OTE (based on average 45 hours)
- Base salary £28,800 - £30,800 + strong tronc
- Competitive base salary

The Role
As Duty Manager, you are responsible for the smooth and effective running of the pub during your shifts. You’ll support the General Manager while taking full ownership of service standards, team performance and operational execution.
You will:
- Lead From the Front
- Set the tone for professionalism, energy and service standards
- Lead and motivate the front-of-house team during busy services
- Make confident, on-the-spot decisions
- React quickly to staffing challenges or changes in trade
- Ensure opening and closing procedures are executed to standard
- Review bookings and events at the start of every shift to prepare the team properly
- Champion our philosophy that 'Everyone Leaves Happy'
- Handle guest feedback or complaints calmly and professionally
- Model warm, confident, high-quality hospitality at all times
- Drive a culture of genuine, enthusiastic service
- Ensure exceptional cleanliness and organisation across bar, floor, garden, cellar, stores and guest areas
- Monitor menus, blackboards and promotional materials
- Keep the venue consistently guest-ready and brand-aligned
- Check in deliveries and be accountable for stock signed for during your shift
- Oversee stock storage, rotation and availability
- Conduct audits and monitor stock loss
- Complete line cleans and glasswasher maintenance checks
- Support cellar organisation and standards
- Uphold licensing, health & safety and hygiene standards
- Complete end-of-shift reports and sales reconciliation accurately
- Investigate and resolve any open trading tables
- Secure the building correctly at close
- Assist with in-house events and large bookings
- Capture quality content for social media where appropriate
- Support marketing initiatives as required
