An opportunity to join an exciting organisation as a Painter. The purpose of the role is to work as part of the paint facility team to carry out painting duties including masking and preparation of parts in line with project requirements.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Work methodically through tasks to ensure quality is not compromised when under time constraints.
- Product painting in line with business requirements.
- Product preparation in line with drawing requirements.
- Moving product in and out of paint booths to maximise throughput.
- Completing documentation in line with project requirements.
- Maintain paint equipment and consumables to help minimise downtime.
- Ensure that all issues and concerns are raised with Team Leader in a timely manner.
- Comply with all Health and Safety requirements.
- Comply with all COSHH requirements.
- Comply with waste segregation procedures.
- Support overall production performance contributing ideas to quality led improvement projects that drive for excellence.
- Any other duties as reasonably requested by your Team Leader/Line Manager/Production Manager or a member of the Senior Management team.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Ability to understand paint specifications.
- Ability to mix paint to correct ratios and viscosities in line with product specification.
- Able to coat product to correct DFTs as stated on the paint spec.
- Knowledge of common paint finish failures including bubbling, fisheye, orange peel effect etc.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Desirable: FLT licence.
- Practical knowledge of powder coating and ceramic coating.
