An opportunity to join an exciting organisation as a CNC Miller (Large Gantry Milling Machines). Candidates will be time served CNC Machinists through a recognised mechanical engineering apprenticeship with experience on large gantry milling machines.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for ensuring the machine schedule is completed within the required timescales and to the correct drawing specifications
- Work methodically through tasks whilst ensuring quality is not compromised
- Follow quality policies and procedures
- Highlight any quality or production issues to supervision
- Maintain product traceability
- Prepare and load materials on machines
- Maximise machine utilisation with minimum downtime
- Multiple machine running when requested
- Mentor apprentices and colleagues when requested
- Comply with all health and safety requirements
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Time served CNC Miller/Machinist
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Ability to understand and interpret geometrical tolerances
- Familiar with Siemens 840 / Mazatrol controls
- Competent working to and maintaining tight tolerances
- Competent lifting heavy components
- Experience of machining large fabrications
Competitive remuneration package offered. £18.13 to £23.52 per hour depending on experience. Attractive shift premium available for shifts with unsociable hours. Days & Nights plus overtime available.
