We are looking for a Control Engineer to join an innovative, multi-disciplined engineering team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work at the forefront of advanced product development in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
As a Control Engineer, you will play a key role in developing the electrical and control systems that power bespoke equipment. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you’ll contribute across the full product lifecycle, from initial design and prototyping to commissioning and deployment. You’ll also provide technical support during installation and trials both in-house and on-site globally.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical and control systems, including PLC programming.
- Take concepts through to manufacturing detail, including analysis and reporting.
- Participate in design reviews and support testing and verification of products.
- Assist with the build, commissioning and field trials of equipment.
- Work cross-functionally with teams across Engineering, Commercial, Projects and Sales.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to their technical development.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for a flexible, forward-thinking engineer with the motivation to solve complex problems and deliver high-quality results under pressure.
You’ll need:
- A degree in Electrical, Control, Electronics Engineering or similar (2:1 or above), or equivalent experience.
- Experience in electronics and electrical design.
- Familiarity with PLCs (training can be provided).
- Experience working in multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
- Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of robotics, machine control or automation.
- Experience integrating PLCs onto PCBs.
