Are you a relationship-driven sales professional who enjoys working closely with customers, solving real-world challenges, and seeing your efforts make a genuine impact on construction projects? We are working with a long-established and highly respected plant hire specialist that has been at the forefront of its industry for decades. Known for engineering excellence and outstanding service, the business supports customers across the construction and plant hire sectors, from major contractors to regional and local businesses. They are now looking for an experienced area sales executive to join their Southern team — a role offering autonomy, long-term development, and the opportunity to be part of a collaborative and forward-thinking organisation.
THE ROLE
You will play a key part in driving sales growth across your region, building strong customer relationships, and ensuring clients receive the right temporary works solutions for projects of all sizes. Working closely with engineering, depot, and leadership teams, you will help deliver both standard and bespoke solutions while maintaining excellent service levels throughout the customer journey.
You will be responsible for:
- Developing and delivering sales plans to grow revenue across existing and new customers
- Promoting standard and pre-engineered solutions alongside depot sales teams
- Producing clear, high-quality design briefs for bespoke engineering solutions
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers across the construction and plant hire sectors
- Identifying and supporting growth opportunities across key regional and national accounts
- Working collaboratively with engineering, field, and management teams
THE PERSON
In order to succeed in this role you should have:
- Proven sales experience in a multi-site or regional environment
- Experience selling into the construction and/or plant hire sectors
- Strong customer-facing skills and a relationship-led approach
- A proactive, organised, and solutions-focused mindset
- Confidence working both independently and as part of a wider team
- Full UK driving licence
