THE ROLE
The role centres around developing and managing relationships with builders’ merchants and trade customers, ensuring existing accounts continue to thrive while identifying and securing new business opportunities across the region. You will work closely with an experienced internal sales team and operational colleagues to ensure customers receive consistently high levels of service and support. This is a role suited to someone who enjoys being out in the market, building trust with customers and understanding their needs. You will take ownership of a regional customer base, maintain strong account relationships while proactively identifying opportunities to increase sales and improve commercial performance.
THE PERSON
You will ideally have experience in field sales within construction materials, building supplies, merchant distribution or a closely related sector, although individuals with strong regional sales experience and a good understanding of the construction supply chain would also be of interest. You will be someone who is proactive, commercially aware and confident building relationships with customers. Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across sales and operations will also be important.
