Thrive Group Bolton are currently looking for a Despatch Operative to join our client based in Preston.
This is a hands‑on role within our despatch/warehouse operation, and we are looking for someone who is reliable, hardworking and able to work well as part of a team.
Key Requirements
- Good English language skills are essential for this position.
- Previous despatch/warehouse experience would be an advantage.
- Forklift Counterbalance experience/licence is required.
- Good attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions.
- Reliable and flexible approach to working hours.
Main Duties
- Ensuring the correct labels are applied to pallets and trolleys.
- Checking that orders have been packed correctly and accurately.
- Operating a forklift to load and unload goods.
- Ensuring the correct paperwork is prepared and handed to drivers.
- Assisting with loading trolleys into trucks.
- Working additional hours when required, particularly if trucks are delayed.
- During the off-season, the role may also involve general warehouse/worker duties.
- During busy periods, Saturday work may be required and can be a full working day.
We are looking for someone who is dependable, organised and willing to get stuck in.
Hours are - Monday to Friday 06:00 - 14:00
Pay rate - Starting at £13.50 with a view to increase experience dependant.
