We are supporting a major manufacturing site with the appointment of an experienced Project Engineer to support the delivery of capital equipment and process integration projects across production operations. This role plays a key part in the end-to-end implementation of new equipment, from FAT and SAT through installation, validation, commissioning, and ramp-up - ensuring a seamless transition into live manufacturing with minimal disruption.
Key Responsibilities
- Support capital deployment projects, including breakthrough, capacity, and replacement programmes
- Participate in FAT, SAT, validation, commissioning, and vertical start-up activities
- Prepare installation plans, test plans, and validation documentation
- Lead equipment integration into existing manufacturing processes
- Ensure EHS compliance (LOTO, guarding, controls, standards)
- Support training plans, competence assessments, and documentation handover
- Provide technical support during ramp-up to achieve OEE and performance targets
- Diagnose and resolve integration issues with engineering teams and vendors
- Coordinate handover to operations, maintenance, and quality teams
- Drive continuous improvement and reliability initiatives
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Project Engineer within a manufacturing environment
- Strong exposure to equipment installation, validation, and commissioning
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and external vendors
- Knowledge of EHS standards and manufacturing best practices
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a live production environment
- Strong documentation and stakeholder communication skills
This is a temporary project role, initially expected to run for 2 years. The duration may be extended or shortened depending on project progress and business requirements.
