Thrive Trowbridge are delighted to be working with our established and market leading client near Chippenham who urgently require a Technical Sales Engineer to join their busy team. In this key role, duties will include the following:

  • Leading and mentoring the sales team
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and potential customers
  • Quickly assessing and understanding customer requirements to provide the appropriate solutions
  • Liaison with a number of internal departments to produce quotations and proposals
  • Offering promotional and new product advice
  • Following up on quotations and negotiating terms
  • Ensuring successful customer service throughout project life cycles
  • Identifying and prospecting new clients

What you will need to succeed:

  • A proven track record within heavy engineering essential
  • Qualification in Mechanical engineering or equivalent
  • Understanding of engineering and heavy plant essential, including hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Thorough understanding of technical concepts
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills
  • Excellent IT skills including ERP/CRM software
  • First rate communication skills as you will be dealing with a wide range of clients
  • Strong commercial acumen
