As we prepare for the busy festive season, we’re looking for hardworking and reliable individuals to join our kitchen team as Kitchen Porters. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of an energetic team and play a vital role in ensuring our kitchens run smoothly during one of the busiest times of the year.

As a Festive Kitchen Porter, you’ll be an essential member of our kitchen team, helping to maintain cleanliness, organisation, and efficiency behind the scenes. Your role will involve ensuring our chefs have the equipment they need to deliver outstanding festive meals while maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety. Candidates must be available to work the whole month of December for these roles due to the level of business at this time.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all kitchen equipment, utensils, and dishes are cleaned to a high standard and available for use.
  • Assist with basic food preparation as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen, including floors, surfaces, and storage areas.
  • Assist in the removal of waste and management of recycling.
  • Support chefs and other kitchen staff with any tasks that ensure the smooth operation of the kitchen.
  • Ensure compliance with food hygiene and health and safety regulations at all times.
  • Help with deliveries and stock rotation.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Kitchen Porter or in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
  • A strong work ethic and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • A team player with good communication skills.
  • A commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and key festive dates (including Christmas and New Year).
  • Physical stamina and the ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items when needed.
  • Food hygiene certification is a plus but not essential.
