We're looking for a Senior Group Exercise Manager to lead the timetable and instructor team across Canary Wharf and Wood Wharf Third Space. This is a hands‑on leadership role for an experienced Group Exercise professional who combines strategic thinking, strong people leadership and operational excellence. With responsibility for the largest site in the group alongside an additional club, this role offers a unique opportunity to shape and evolve a high‑profile Group Exercise programme.

You'll play a key role in maximising GX performance through intelligent space utilisation, forward‑thinking programming and effective timetabling, while maintaining the highest standards of delivery for our members. You'll oversee day‑to‑day studio operations, lead a large and diverse instructor team, and collaborate closely with other departments to ensure a consistent, premium experience across both locations. You'll also contribute to the ongoing evolution of our class offering through concept development, workshops and instructor training.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the strategic planning, development and delivery of the Group Exercise timetable across both sites
  • Maximise GX opportunities through effective use of studio space, programming and timetabling
  • Manage, support and develop the instructor team, ensuring consistent class standards and engagement
  • Be highly visible on the floor, delivering your own classes as part of the timetable
  • Oversee day‑to‑day studio operations, ensuring spaces are safe, well‑maintained and operationally sound
  • Manage increased complexity across sites, including oversight of two GX Operations Assistants (GXOA's)
  • Respond effectively to higher volumes of member feedback, ensuring standards and experience remain exceptional
  • Collaborate with other departments to support member engagement and a seamless club experience
  • Contribute to the development of new concepts, workshops and initiatives
  • Act as a key member of the club leadership team, taking responsibility for aspects of daily operations

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience managing Group Exercise in a professional, high‑volume environment
  • Strong strategic capability, with the confidence to plan, evaluate and evolve programmes across multiple sites
  • A minimum Level 2 fitness qualification and current teaching experience
  • Demonstrable people leadership experience, including developing instructors and handling performance and feedback
  • Strong operational and organisational skills, including rota, timetable and multi‑site management
  • A practical, solutions‑focused approach with attention to detail
  • A clear understanding of what exceptional standards look like in a premium, member‑focused environment
