THE THIRD FLOOR is the world’s leading visualization company with offices in Los Angeles and London, along with on-location work around the world. Since 2004, the studio has helped clients visualize and maximize content through computer-animated blueprints, known as “previsualizations”. The company has won multiple Emmy and VES awards. Recent projects include Avatar: The Way of Water, House of the Dragon, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Guardians of the Galaxy 3, For All Mankind, Masters of the Air , and many more.

The VFX Coordinator plays a key role in Previs project management. They liaise with production teams, strategize, and help implement tasks crucial for delivering projects on time and within budget.

Project Based. Full Time. Must be located in the United Kingdom.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Liaise between vendors, crew, and internal teams to improve communication
  • Organize dailies, Cinesync and Zoom sessions, rounds, and meetings; take notes and follow up as needed
  • Keep Shotgrid updated with notes, shot status, and critical information
  • Work with Line Producer and Supervisors to track and manage artists, meeting deadlines
  • Support the schedule with the Line Producer
  • Maintain crew actuals and review with the production manager; support timecard approvals
  • Manage crew actuals and bid man days within schedules; approve timecards accurately
  • Anticipate and communicate issues to resolve problems quickly
  • Communicate effectively with crew and departments in person, not just via email
  • Update internal and client contacts lists for projects
  • Oversee client deliveries
  • Compile weekly project reports with input from Supervisors and Line Producer
  • Arrange wrap meetings and client gift lists
  • Maintain a positive, professional, and proactive office environment
  • Assist Production with additional duties as needed
  • The role may require off-site periods
  • Knowledge of digital audio/video formats
  • Highly organized, efficient, and detail-oriented
  • Comfortable with a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Available after hours for urgent matters
  • Team-player with a positive attitude
  • Passionate about workplace culture and values
  • Strong skills in Google Sheets, MS Office, and Filemaker Pro
  • Knowledge of production databases and pipelines; experience with Filemaker Pro & Shotgrid is a plus
  • Knowledge of animation or VFX processes is advantageous
  • Familiarity with Maya and Photoshop is a plus
