We have roles available for passionate salespeople who love the Mediterranean to join our Athens or London offices as a Travel Sales Specialist. You will be pivotal in driving revenue growth and expanding our customer base by promoting and selling our villas effectively to potential clients. Your enthusiasm, exceptional communication skills, and in-depth knowledge of our villas and destinations will contribute to creating memorable holiday experiences for our guests and making them return, year after year.

Reports To: Head of Sales

Working Partnerships: Sales Operations Specialists, Local Concierges, Properties Team, Villa Owners, Finance team, Marketing team, Travel Agents

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Respond to new leads and enquiries via phone, live chat or email, adhering to our brand standards and procedures.
  • Meet and exceed your individual sales targets while providing unparalleled service to every client - with integrity, care, consideration and thoughtfulness, allowing us to maximise customer satisfaction.
  • Collect all relevant client information and craft thoroughly researched, personalised proposals that go beyond expectations.
  • Educate enquirers about the features, amenities, and benefits of our holiday villas, tailoring your approach to their specific needs and preferences.
  • Respond to client questions, concerns, and requests promptly and professionally, offering personalised solutions to enhance their experience and ensure you meet our lead conversion KPIs.

Client Retention & Relationship Building

  • Establish and build relationships with prospective clients. Communicate the distinct advantages and benefits of booking with The Thinking Traveller.
  • Develop and cultivate strong bonds with previous clients, ensuring that they feel valued and engaged throughout the year, leading to the growth of our ‘Repeat & Recommend’ business.

Product Knowledge

  • Immerse yourself in our villa portfolio and destinations, including property details, availability, and pricing.
  • Continuously nurture and enrich your knowledge of services and experiences, enrich client stays and actively seek client feedback to enhance our offerings and the presentation of villas on our website.
  • Collaborate with your Villa Specialist peers, Sales Operations Specialists, and Local Concierge teams to create a synergy of knowledge, contributing to the evolution of our product knowledge database.
  • Stay informed about local attractions, events, and travel trends to provide clients with recommendations and personal insights for an extraordinary holiday.

Sales Admin

  • Ensure that all relevant information about each booking/particular group is accurately and completely recorded on our system in order to guarantee a smooth information flow between teams.
  • Proactively liaise with internal teams to address client requests promptly, mitigating any barriers to converting an enquiry into a villa booking.
  • Ensuring that all booking details (including client contact details, background, group information, and special requests) are recorded on the notes to owners before passing the bookings to the Sales Operations Specialists and then the Local Concierge Teams.
  • Working alongside the Finance team, provide answers to all finance-related questions from clients, including the processing of payments and cancellations.
  • Leveraging our CRM system (ZOHO), always maintain a clean and organised opportunity pipeline, including accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions, sales activities, and inquiries.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • You are an accomplished sales professional preferably with the travel industry, with a minimum of 3 years in the profession.
  • You can demonstrate success of hitting realistic yet challenging sales targets.
  • You are passionate about travel and have a natural curiosity for all things Mediterranean.
  • You are proactive and motivated in nature and can demonstrate a genuine and collaborative selling style using your strong influencing and negotiation skills.
  • You embrace a customer-centric approach. You’ll need to show us that you can be adaptable and build trust with clients from all over the world and from all types of cultural backgrounds.
  • You’ll need to be a confident and articulate communicator both over the phone and via email, with fantastic listening skills.
  • You are extremely organised, with great attention to detail and a talent for retaining and recalling information.
  • You are positive, thoughtful and a natural problem solver who is always seeking avenues for improvement.
  • Fluency in a second language (French and/or German in particular) would be an advantage.
