Are you passionate about giving young children the very best start to their learning journey? The Gordon Children’s Academy are seeking a dedicated EYFS / KS1 Teaching Assistant to join their team. Our Teaching Assistant will play a key role in encouraging positive behaviour, promoting self-esteem, and fostering independent learning to support pupils’ overall development and academic progress. Phonics experience is desirable, preferably Little Wandle.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with the observation and monitoring of pupil progress.
- Maintaining accurate records of interventions and tracking achievements.
- Assistance with the preparation of differentiated learning materials and organisation of classroom displays.
- Support the delivery of engaging lessons tailored to individual needs.
- There may be a requirement to work with pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans or additional educational needs throughout the Key Stages.
- There may also be a requirement to administer First Aid, subject to appropriate training.

The Gordon’s Children’s Academy is based in the Strood area. Our Junior and Infant school work closely together to ensure that all staff and children work together as one. We are lucky enough to have a passionate workforce at our school who all care for and respect the fantastic children of our school. We are dedicated to school improvement and we all aim to provide a happy, safe and fun school environment for the children, and our staff too. We have high expectations of behaviour and we recognise that it is our responsibility to listen to the children verbally or by interpreting their behaviour. Pupils of Gordon’s Children’s Academy are proud of their school and have an exciting environment around them to learn in, we encourage use of a creative curriculum and all children enjoy decorating their classroom whilst they focus on a particular topic across the curriculum.
