We are seeking to appoint a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our supportive and dynamic team at Meon Infant and Junior School on a Fixed Term basis. You will play a vital role in providing high-quality teaching and learning support under the guidance of classroom teachers, helping to make learning engaging, accessible and inclusive for all pupils.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver tailored support to pupils under the direction of the Classroom Teacher.
  • Coach and support pupils' learning by supervising and assisting them in 1:1 sessions and small groups.
  • Help pupils engage across a variety of learning activities and interventions.
  • Work collaboratively with staff to ensure pupils have access to the resources they need to succeed.

About You

  • A confident communicator with strong written and verbal skills.
  • Educated to a minimum Grade 4/C (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.
  • Highly motivated, energetic and reflective with a passion for helping pupils and building positive relationships with both students and parents/carers.

Fixed term contract until 31/08/2027. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
