Job Purpose
To support the Designated Safeguarding Lead inensuring effective safeguarding and child protection arrangements across theschool. The postholder will act as a first point of contact for staff reportingsafeguarding concerns, triage and manage lower-level safeguarding issues, maintainaccurate records, coordinate interventions, and contribute to safeguardingpractice that promotes the welfare, safety and wellbeing of all pupils.
The DDSL will also hold a small caseload ofhigher-profile safeguarding cases under the direction of the DSL, attendmulti-agency meetings as required, and lead specific safeguarding interventionswith pupils and families.
