Picture Researcher Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and creative Picture Researcher to join our team. In this role, you will:
- Research images from photo libraries and call in PR shots.
- Check, archive, and label all picture files.
- Order high-resolution pictures and prepare them for production.
- Maintain good contacts with image libraries and stay updated on new image sources.
- Negotiate image rates and deals as required.
- Assist with general administration and processes on the picture desk.
- Identify and solve problems, attend internal briefing meetings, and work to client and editorial deadlines.
You will be responsible for providing image solutions that best serve our clients\’ needs, ensuring high-quality campaign executions across the Spark department, AdGets, and other projects. The ideal candidate is a team player with a positive attitude, strong organizational skills, and a keen eye for photography, capable of sourcing eye-catching imagery quickly and efficiently. Proficiency in delivering extensive and fast picture research is essential.
Requirements include:
- Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Bridge, InDesign, Microsoft Office, DAM, Media Mogul, DTI, and Escenic.
- Strong contacts with picture agencies.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
- Good understanding of IP rights and licensing.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
