The Telegraph is looking for a Marketing executive to join the Performance Marketing team. The team's goal is to deliver new subscriptions across Digital News and Puzzles through a range of channels from email to paid social. We are seeking a marketing executive with a particular interest in Partnerships, delivering acquisitions through external brand partnerships. This role will report to a Senior Partnerships Manager, supporting them across both the management of our existing strategic partners and seeking out new partners.
Our team sits within the larger Marketing team which is responsible for growing and retaining The Telegraph's active subscription base via brand marketing, subscriber engagement, marketing design and performance. The Partnerships arm of the Performance Marketing team seeks out and negotiates large scale and impactful partnerships to maximise subscription and registration growth. Your role will be to support the execution of new partnerships by working closely with partners, as well as internal teams including design and tech. You will also assist in managing our existing long-term partnerships, liaising directly with the partners, as well as leading on creative optimisation and reporting. You will also support the wider Performance Marketing team where needed on Digital News and Puzzles campaigns, working on a wide range of marketing channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Nurture existing partners, constantly looking for ways to optimise campaigns and improve results.
- Support with the execution of partner campaigns, including campaign planning and execution and performance analysis.
- Develop creative assets for our partnerships, working closely with our Design team on delivery.
- Support with lead generation and new partner negotiation.
- Lead on reporting to partners with clear actionable insight.
- Support the wider Performance Marketing team where needed on Digital News and Puzzles campaigns, across a range of channels from email to influencer marketing.
- Produce reports for key stakeholders which may include weekly reports, post campaign analysis, status updates, competitor activity and market trends.
- Develop a strong working relationship with key stakeholders across the business including editorial, tech, product and finance teams.
- Support the team on administration, setting up suppliers, raising POs / invoices and ad-hoc requests.
- Attend relevant meetings across the business, both as a spokesperson for the Partnerships team and to keep the team updated on key news and developments.
Requirements
- Experience in marketing or partnership.
- Experience working on marketing/ partnership campaigns.
- Effective communicator with great listening, influencing and persuading skills, confident in a formal meeting / presentation environment.
- Confident in building, nurturing and maintaining relationships across all levels of business (internal and external).
- Excellent attention to detail, planning, organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and maintain high standards of delivery and execution.
- A self-managing and self-motivating team player with a positive attitude.
- Proactive, professional and resilient.
- A passion and commitment for working in a fast-paced media environment.
