Our team of well-being professionals provides tailored support to help young women build confidence, resilience, and a positive body image. We focus on long-term development rather than quick fixes, aiming to foster lasting improvements in self-esteem, physical fitness, and emotional health. Our mission is to see teenage girls thrive, both in and out of school, equipped with the tools to continue growing into confident and healthy individuals.

The Teen Engagement Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing and delivering youth programs, with a focus on promoting both mental and physical well-being. This role involves developing youth engagement strategies, fostering youth development, and managing on-site responsibilities across schools and community settings. The Coordinator will also play a key role in building and maintaining relationships with schools, collecting data for impact reports, and providing personalised 1-on-1 mentoring to teenage girls participating in The Teen Project. In addition, they will assist in creating impact reports for each youth program we deliver.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Delivery & Coordination β€” Oversee the delivery of The Teen Project's programs, ensuring that all activities align with the project’s goals of enhancing both mental and physical well-being of teenage girls.
  • Teen Engagement Strategies β€” Develop and implement strategies to actively engage teenage girl participants, encouraging their sustained involvement and progress throughout the course.
  • School Communication β€” Establish and maintain communication with schools to coordinate the delivery of programs, ensure student participation, and provide ongoing support to staff.
  • Impact Report Data Collection β€” Collect data related to program outcomes, such as improvements in confidence, school attendance, physical activity, and mental health. Contribute to regular impact reports showcasing the long-term success of the project.
  • Mentoring β€” Provide tailored, individual mentoring sessions to female participants, supporting them in building confidence, resilience, and healthy habits both inside and outside of school.
  • Funding Support β€” Assist in preparing and contributing to funding bids, impact summaries, and evaluation reports to support sustainability and growth of The Teen Project.
Qualifications/Qualities
  • Strong communication and educational background
  • Experience in engaging with youth communities, particularly in promoting mental and physical well-being
  • Ability to develop effective youth programs
  • Confident and experienced in communicating with teenage girls
  • A bubbly, approachable personality with the ability to build rapport quickly
  • Lived experience with challenges that teenage girls currently face, providing a relatable and empathetic approach to mentoring
  • Preferable health and fitness background and/or passion
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Data collection and reporting experience for program impact tracking
  • Mentoring or counselling experience, especially in 1-on-1 settings
  • Some familiarity with funding applications or reporting (desirable)
  • Full, clean driving license and access to a vehicle for travel to schools and community sites

Essential: Relevant experience within psychology, education, or social care settings; BPS-accredited qualifications advantageous.
