We are delighted to have been chosen to lead on the appointment of a newly created Director of IT Operations for our energy client based in Glasgow. This is a senior leadership position that plays a central role in influencing and delivering the global IT operations strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Own the strategy and day‑to‑day delivery of global IT infrastructure and operations.
  • Drive the evolution of our network, cloud, data centre, and end‑user computing environments.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse global team, building a culture of teamwork, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with key vendors.
  • Define and embed clear governance in partnership with Enterprise Architecture and IT Security, maintaining industry certifications and compliance.
  • Drive high performance across core ITIL processes.
  • Use data and insights to constantly improve service quality.

  • Proven success delivering IT services at scale in a global organisation.
  • Strong commercial acumen, in view of strategic vendor partnerships.
  • Strategic mindset within an evolving technology landscape.
