The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

We are looking for a committed, enthusiastic and hard-working Food Technology teacher to become part of a cohesive, professional and supportive team. You will be both ambitious and passionate about teaching and have the ability to inspire students. This role provides an exciting opportunity for any teacher who is eager to be a part of a school that seeks to secure the very highest educational standards for students, who has high standards, commitment, passion, and the ability to teach across the full range of age and ability. The department is both innovative and supportive with a history of good examination results focused on inspiring children to reflect, learn and achieve.

Responsibilities:

  • Planning, delivering and marking lessons.
  • Giving constructive and guided feedback to students both written and verbally.
  • Summative and formative assessment, guiding progress through marking and feedback.
  • Attending departmental meetings and communicating effectively with parents.
  • Encouraged to share best practice within and beyond the department.
  • Lead extracurricular enrichment activities to extend learning beyond the classroom.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Successful candidates should hold a PGCE with a relevant bachelor’s degree, a Bachelor of Education or the international equivalent.
  • Hold an up-to-date DBS certificate.
  • Possess excellent subject knowledge.
  • Have excellent knowledge of the British Curriculum.
  • Maintain exceptional classroom practice.
  • Work collaboratively and creatively with colleagues.

Payment scale advertised is based upon the teacher pay scale from M1 to M6. Actual pay is based upon relevant teaching experience.
