We are looking to appoint qualified teachers of Humanities, specifically Geography, History and Religious Studies, to work at high achieving schools with excellent resources and support. The roles will involve teaching your specialist subject to A level and other humanities to GCSE on a smaller timetable. This is an exciting opportunity to work in academic environments with students who are highly motivated.

Responsibilities:

  • Planning, delivering and marking lessons.
  • Giving constructive and guided feedback to students both written and verbally.
  • Summative and formative assessment, guiding progress through marking and feedback.
  • Attending departmental meetings and communicating effectively with parents.
  • Encouraged to share best practice within and beyond the department.
  • Lead extracurricular enrichment activities to extend learning beyond the classroom.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Successful candidates should hold a PGCE with a relevant bachelor’s degree, a Bachelor of Education or the international equivalent.
  • Hold an up-to-date DBS certificate.
  • Possess excellent subject knowledge.
  • Have excellent knowledge of the British Curriculum.
  • Maintain exceptional classroom practice.
  • Work collaboratively and creatively with colleagues.

Payment scale advertised is based upon the teacher pay scale from M1 to M6. Actual pay is based upon relevant teaching experience.
