The Teach Team is currently recruiting a passionate and knowledgeable Maths Teacher to join a well-regarded independent secondary special school. This flexible opportunity is available on a part-time or full-time basis, offering between 3 and 5 days per week, making it ideal for teachers seeking greater work-life balance without compromising on professional fulfilment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and challenging Mathematics lessons that inspire students to develop confidence, problem-solving skills, and a genuine appreciation for the subject. The school provides education for pupils aged 13-16 who have Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and those who have become disengaged from mainstream education. The school specialises in supporting young people who may present with challenging behaviour, emotional regulation difficulties, anxiety, trauma-related needs, and barriers to learning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver high-quality Mathematics lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
