A dynamic and expanding consumer goods business supplying into major UK retailers and e-commerce platforms. With strong growth and increasing demand, they are investing in their warehouse and supply chain capability to ensure operational excellence and first-class service to customers.
About the role
The Operations Manager will oversee all aspects of warehouse and distribution activity site, supported by external warehousing partners. This includes:
- Leading and developing a team, ensuring clear standards, accountability, and opportunities for growth
- Overseeing goods-in, storage, order fulfilment and outbound logistics
- Maintaining accurate stock control and improving systems and processes
- Taking ownership of site health & safety, acting as the in-house trainer and ensuring a 100% safety culture
- Managing relationships with carriers and external warehouses to ensure service levels are met
- Driving efficiency and introducing better ways of working, from stock management through to cost savings
- Upholding quality standards across warehouse operations, ensuring audits and customer requirements are met
The successful candidate
We’re looking for someone with energy, drive and a proactive mindset – not someone who waits to be told what to do. You’ll bring:
- Proven experience in warehouse, logistics, or distribution management
- Strong leadership skills – able to engage, motivate, and hold people accountable
- A track record of maintaining high health & safety standards
- Confident Excel skills and experience managing stock in a warehouse environment
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills – able to spot issues, find solutions, and implement improvements
- Experience managing external partners (3PL, carriers or offsite warehousing)
- A positive, can-do approach with the ability to hit the ground running
