A dynamic and expanding consumer goods business supplying into major UK retailers and e-commerce platforms. With strong growth and increasing demand, they are investing in their warehouse and supply chain capability to ensure operational excellence and first-class service to customers.

About the role

The Operations Manager will oversee all aspects of warehouse and distribution activity site, supported by external warehousing partners. This includes:

  • Leading and developing a team, ensuring clear standards, accountability, and opportunities for growth
  • Overseeing goods-in, storage, order fulfilment and outbound logistics
  • Maintaining accurate stock control and improving systems and processes
  • Taking ownership of site health & safety, acting as the in-house trainer and ensuring a 100% safety culture
  • Managing relationships with carriers and external warehouses to ensure service levels are met
  • Driving efficiency and introducing better ways of working, from stock management through to cost savings
  • Upholding quality standards across warehouse operations, ensuring audits and customer requirements are met

The successful candidate

We’re looking for someone with energy, drive and a proactive mindset – not someone who waits to be told what to do. You’ll bring:

  • Proven experience in warehouse, logistics, or distribution management
  • Strong leadership skills – able to engage, motivate, and hold people accountable
  • A track record of maintaining high health & safety standards
  • Confident Excel skills and experience managing stock in a warehouse environment
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills – able to spot issues, find solutions, and implement improvements
  • Experience managing external partners (3PL, carriers or offsite warehousing)
  • A positive, can-do approach with the ability to hit the ground running
