We are recruiting an outstanding career opportunity for a commercial HR Manager / Head of HR to lead a team of generalist HR and Learning and Development professionals. Working for a multi-site operation, the company is based on the outskirts of Winchester, with easy access from Winchester, Southampton, Andover and surrounding areas. This managerial role will be involved with all aspects of HR and being a hands-on, yet commercial leader.
Leading the HR team will involve the following responsibilities:
- Full involvement with HR operations, including employee relations, recruitment, learning and development, performance processes and HR administration.
- Engaging with managers and senior managers across the business and developing strong working relationships to support them with day-to-day HR matters.
- Responsibility for the HR and L&D budget, including forecasting, reporting and cost control.
- Assisting managers with recruitment, including job descriptions, selection process and onboarding.
- Working with the senior management team to facilitate change and ensure that the HR team continues to evolve.
- Travel to different business locations to support managers, build effective working relationships and ensure visibility of the HR function across the business.
My client is looking for an HR professional who has experience of managing others within an HR team, ideally within the retail or hospitality industry. Experience within a multi-site operation would also be an advantage. The role requires a strong HR Generalist, qualified to CIPD Level 5 or Level 7, or equivalent relevant experience.

This is an onsite role, with regular travel to all of the business locations. Some flexibility is offered to work from home up to one day a week, as required on an informal basis.
