We are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing education organisation for a People Advisor to join their collaborative HR team.

This is an excellent opportunity to support school leaders and employees across a family of schools, providing practical HR advice and helping to create an outstanding working environment for staff.

Working as part of a supportive People Team, you will partner with senior leaders to provide expert advice across the full range of employee relations matters.

You'll be responsible for delivering pragmatic HR solutions, supporting managers with complex casework and contributing to a variety of people-focused projects and initiatives.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide professional advice and guidance on employee relations matters including absence management, disciplinary, grievance, capability and performance.
  • Support managers with employment law, HR policies and best practice.
  • Build strong working relationships with leaders across the organisation.
  • Contribute to HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support the delivery of a positive, inclusive and engaging workplace culture.
  • Assist with wider HR activities across the employee lifecycle.

About You

You will be CIPD Level 5 qualified (or working towards) or have proven experience working as an HR Advisor with a strong employee relations background.

  • Up-to-date knowledge of employment law, HR best practice and GDPR.
  • Experience advising on pay, terms and conditions of employment.
  • A proven ability to manage employee relations cases confidently and professionally.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a varied workload.
  • A practical, solution-focused approach and sound judgement.
  • The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team.
