My client is leading organisation based in Wakefield who are looking for a proactive and experienced HR Manager to lead and develop their HR function, providing expert guidance and support across the business.
This is a hands-on generalist role, responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of HR, supporting managers on employee relations matters, maintaining legal compliance, and driving continuous improvement across people processes and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
- Employee Relations & HR Support
- Recruitment & Onboarding
- HR Operations & Administration
- Absence Management & Wellbeing
- Produce weekly and monthly HR reports, including employee metrics, starters, leavers and workforce updates.
- Ensure all HR activities comply with current employment legislation and company policies.
- Policy & People Initiatives
- Develop, review and update HR policies and procedures.
- Conduct annual policy reviews and implement legislative updates.
- Lead and support HR projects, initiatives and continuous improvement activities.
- Utilise the Apprenticeship Levy to maximise training and development opportunities across the business.
- Deliver HR-related training and coaching to managers.
- Health & Safety responsibility including maintaining records relating to workplace accidents and personal injury claims.
- Act as the primary contact for insurance providers regarding employee injury claims.
- Ensure compliance with company health and safety policies and procedures.

You will be a confident and knowledgeable HR professional with strong generalist experience and a passion for supporting managers and employees alike.
Essential Requirements
- HR Generalist experience in a management level role.
- CIPD qualified.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience managing employee relations cases.
- Experience delivering HR training and coaching.
- Knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
- Good Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Word and Power Point.
- Ability to create spreadsheets and use basic formulas.
- Experience of Gender Pay Gap reporting.
- Experience of utilising the Apprenticeship Levy.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Competitive salary package paying circa £50k-£60k DOE plus company car / or car allowance.
