The role:
As a Senior Human Resources Business Partner, you’ll play a critical role in driving strategic people initiatives that enable performance, transformation and cultural change across our Marine sector. This is an exciting opportunity to lead at scale - partnering with senior leaders, shaping organisational design, and delivering impactful HR solutions that support nationally important defence and engineering programmes. You’ll be a trusted advisor and influential leader, championing inclusion, innovation, and high performance - while developing your own leadership capability in a complex, purpose-led environment.
Day-to-day, you’ll have the following responsibilities:
- Leading and developing a team of Human Resources Business Partners, driving performance and capability
- Partnering with senior stakeholders to deliver strategic people plans and business transformation initiatives
- Delivering complex change programmes aligned to organisational goals
- Collaborating with Centres of Expertise and shared services to implement effective HR solutions
- Influencing policy, process improvements and cultural initiatives to enhance organisational performance
This is a full-time role (37 hours per week) based at Devonport or Bristol. Hybrid working patterns are available.
Essential experience of the Senior Human Resources Business Partner:
- Demonstrating significant experience in a senior HR business partnering role within a complex organisation
- Leading and developing high-performing HR teams
- Applying expertise across employee relations, industrial relations, organisational development and change management
- Influencing and engaging senior stakeholders with strong communication skills
- Delivering strategic projects with measurable business outcomes
Qualifications for the Senior Human Resources Business Partner:
- Chartered membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (Level 7) or equivalent
- Commitment to continuous professional development

The successful candidate must be a sole UK National who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
