We are seeking an experienced and proactive HR Manager to join our engineering business in Ivybridge. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys working in a hands-on role, supporting employees, managers, and business leaders across all areas of the employee lifecycle.

You will play a key role in developing and delivering effective HR strategies, improving employee engagement, and ensuring best practice across recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and organisational development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide professional HR advice and support to managers and employees across the business
  • Manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, development, and offboarding
  • Support employee relations matters including absence management, disciplinaries, grievances, and performance processes
  • Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and initiatives
  • Support workforce planning and talent development within the engineering environment
  • Promote a positive workplace culture and high levels of employee engagement
  • Maintain accurate HR records and ensure compliance with employment legislation

About You
  • Previous experience working in an HR Manager or senior HR advisory role
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
  • Experience supporting managers within an engineering, manufacturing, or technical environment (desirable)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work independently while also being a collaborative team member
  • A practical, solutions-focused approach with strong attention to detail
