Macmillan Davies is partnering with a growing organisation to appoint an experienced HR Operations Manager on a permanent full-time basis.

Reporting to the People Director, you'll join a collaborative People team of 13, working alongside HR Business Partners, People Advisors, Learning & Development, and Engagement & Communications. You'll lead an established HR Operations team of four, including two HR Administrators, a Recruitment Coordinator, and an additional temporary resource, supporting a workforce of approximately 900-1,000 employees.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can quickly bring structure, pace, and excellent service to the employee experience, while helping to improve processes and systems following integration.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead, coach and develop the HR Operations team
  • Own the People inbox and end-to-end employee lifecycle administration
  • Oversee recruitment administration and line manage the Recruitment Coordinator
  • Manage the Payroll relationship, improving processes, controls and reporting
  • Oversee HR systems, people data, reporting and monthly dashboards
  • Manage benefits administration, including pension salary sacrifice
  • Drive process improvement, standardisation, documentation and system optimisation
  • Maintain strong governance and operational controls across HR administration

About You:

You'll have proven HR Operations management experience within a medium or large organisation, with strong knowledge of HR systems, payroll, people data and reporting. You'll be a practical and organised leader who can get up to speed quickly, develop a team and deliver a responsive, customer-focused HR service from day one. CIPD Qualified.
