DP World are currently recruiting for an Assistant HR Business Partner to join our UK North & Ireland HR team based on‑site in Coventry.

This is an exciting opportunity for a driven HR professional to play a key role in supporting business growth across our existing Coventry site and the new Coventry 2 operation.

Working closely with business leaders and a workforce of circa 200 employees, you will help deliver a best-in-class HR service and drive key people initiatives across the site.

  • How Will You Contribute
  • Support the delivery of DP World HR programmes and initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives and organisational goals.
  • Assist with end-to-end talent acquisition processes, including job evaluation, grading, offers, contracts, and onboarding.
  • Act as a first point of contact for employee HR queries, providing guidance on policies and procedures.
  • Provide Employee Relations support to managers, including performance management, absence, disciplinary and grievance matters.
  • Support onboarding and off‑boarding activities, including inductions and exit processes.
  • Collaborate with the HR team to design and deliver training initiatives across a range of HR topics.
  • Assist in performance management processes, including goal setting, reviews, and development planning.
  • Coach and support managers on leadership capability and cultural change, building strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives, supporting reward and recognition programmes and promoting an inclusive culture.
  • Ensure compliance with UK employment legislation and internal policies.
  • Produce HR reports and data analysis for the Coventry sites, supporting decision‑making and administration.
  • Contribute to wider HR projects and initiatives across the business as required.
  • What Will You Bring
  • CIPD qualification or equivalent HR experience.
  • Previous experience in an HR Generalist or Advisory role within a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of HR practices and UK employment law.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and effective time management skills.
  • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel, and experience with HRIS systems.
  • A proactive and collaborative approach, with the ability to support both operational and strategic HR activities.
