Role Summary
Responsibilities: You will coordinate and continuously improve our global learning, development and onboarding activities, helping to deliver an engaging and high-quality experience for colleagues. Responsibilities include supporting our new starter induction, coordinating training programmes, managing learning systems and materials, and identifying opportunities to enhance processes and efficiency in line with our company strategy.
Salary: £33,000 to £40,000 per annum (FTE) depending on experience level.

Role Type: Full-time (37.5 hours across 5 days) or part-time (22.5 or 30 hours) fixed-term role for up to 13 months to cover maternity leave.
Start Date: This role will ideally commence in August 2026, and you will be asked to state your availability on your application form.

About the Role: We are seeking a Senior Learning & Development Coordinator to join our People team on a fixed-term basis to cover maternity leave. This is a varied role with a strong focus on coordinating our global learning, development and onboarding activities, ensuring that colleagues receive a smooth, engaging and high-quality experience from the moment they join Costello Medical and throughout their career with us.
Key Responsibilities Will Include:
- Coordinating our global induction programme for new starters, including scheduling sessions, liaising with session leads and ensuring all relevant materials are accurate, engaging and up to date.
- Acting as a key point of contact for induction and onboarding queries from the various teams who are involved in these processes, providing clear and helpful guidance to colleagues across the company.
- Creating, maintaining and updating learning and onboarding materials to ensure they reflect current processes, company priorities and stakeholder feedback.
- Coordinating internal training programmes, including operational, compliance, probation-related and career development training for all colleagues across the company.
- Supporting the administration and ongoing development of our Learning Management System, ensuring records are accurate and learning activities are tracked effectively.
- Coordinating external training requests, including researching suitable courses, arranging bookings and recording key milestones within our HR systems.
- Gathering and reviewing feedback from learners and stakeholders to identify trends, highlight training needs and implement improvements.
- Proactively suggesting and implementing improvements to L&D processes, with a focus on quality, efficiency, scalability and learner experience.
- Building strong working relationships with colleagues across the business to ensure joined-up communication and effective delivery of L&D activities.
About You: We are looking for someone who is highly organised, proactive and motivated by delivering an excellent learning and onboarding experience for colleagues. You will enjoy building relationships across different teams, managing a varied workload and identifying practical ways to improve processes.
Essential Requirements For The Role Are:
- At least 2 years of experience in a related learning and development, onboarding or training role which includes experience of using/administering a Learning Management System as well as coordinating induction/onboarding or internal training programmes.
- Excellent organisational skills and productivity, including the ability to manage multiple priorities, coordinate complex processes and maintain high standards under competing deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to liaise with stakeholders at all levels across the company.
- A proactive, positive and solutions-focused approach, with the ability to identify opportunities for improvement and take initiative to implement changes.
- A strong commitment to providing excellent internal customer service and understanding the experience of new starters and learners.
- Excellent attention to detail, with a high degree of written accuracy and professionalism.
- The ability to handle sensitive information with tact, discretion and confidentiality.
- Strong IT skills, including fluency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

- A CIPD, or similar, qualification.
