Media Manager
The Talent Set is delighted to be working with a fantastic membership association in their search for a Media Manager.

This role is instrumental in enhancing the organisation’s reputation and providing strategic communications counsel. The postholder will oversee media-related activities and work closely with external communications partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a 24/7 press office, conduct urgent media outreach, promote member activities, and update the website with press releases and media content.
  • Build relationships with journalists, government press offices, and industry stakeholders.
  • Monitor news, engage with partner organisations, maintain a forward planner, and track media mentions.
  • Respond to misinformation on the sector, developing messaging strategies for key debates.
  • Produce high-quality written materials such as press releases, blogs, newsletters, and internal briefings.
  • Coordinate communications for policy papers and other publications.
  • Provide support for events, conferences, panel discussions, and member engagement initiatives.
  • Liaise with a strategic communications agency to ensure high-quality deliverables and track key performance indicators.

Person Specification:

  • Experience in proactive communications, media relations, and managing reputational risks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confidence in engaging with senior stakeholders and building professional relationships.
  • Strong organisational and project management abilities.

What’s on Offer:

This is a contract role funded until May 2026, offering a competitive salary between £40,000-£50,000 (dependent on experience). Based in Central London, the role requires four days per week in the office.
