Role Overview

The Talent Set are delighted to partner with a leading charity based in Kent on a fantastic Legacy Manager role. The successful candidate will oversee legacy activities, improve stewardship strategies, and strengthen internal relationships and engagement with legacies. This pivotal role supports meaningful legacy giving, contributing to a substantial income stream.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop legacy fundraising activities.
  • Maintain and nurture relationships with supporters, supporters’ care teams, legal contacts, and external solicitors.
  • Improve stewardship, engagement, and communication to enhance relationships with pledgers.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams such as supporter care and finance, as well as external partners, to optimise legacy journey understanding.
  • Monitor and report on legacy income.
  • Assist in ongoing projects to identify and develop new initiatives for increased legacy engagement and outreach.
  • Manage governance and legal considerations related to legacy administration and compliance.
  • Participate in campaign planning and contribute ideas for future legacy support strategies.

Person Specification

  • Proven experience in legacy fundraising within the charity sector.
  • Strong understanding of legacy administration.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills with supporters, legal professionals, and internal teams.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and improve supporter journeys.
  • Collaborative approach, comfortable working across teams and external partners.

Salary: £39,266 FTE, 1 day a week on site.
