The Talent Set are delighted to partner with a reputable and forward-thinking Trade Association recruiting for an interim Director of Membership and Commercial Growth. This is a pivotal leadership hire. The organisation is at a clear commercial turning point and requires an experienced, senior operator who can lead a meaningful transformation of its membership proposition, commercial income model and events strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategies to increase membership numbers and enhance member value.
- Lead initiatives to identify new commercial opportunities, partnerships, and revenue streams.
- Oversee membership retention programs and membership communications to foster engagement and loyalty.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to inform strategic decision‑making.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including current and prospective members.
- Drive innovation in membership products and services to meet evolving needs.
Person Specification
- Proven experience in membership growth or business development within professional organisations or similar sectors.
- Experience working with an entrepreneurial commercial mindset.
- Demonstrate understanding of marketing and communications input and offering.
- Strong strategic planning and organisational skills.
- Excellent relationship‑building and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Ability to interpret data and utilise insights to make informed decisions.
