The Talent Set is thrilled to be working with a fantastic financial services membership association as they recruit for a Communications Executive. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a leading organisation’s public relations and marketing activities, enhancing engagement with journalists, financial advisers, wealth managers, and key industry audiences.
In this role, you’ll be at the heart of media relations, content creation, PR campaigns, and social media strategy, helping to shape the organisation’s voice and influence within the industry. Key Responsibilities:- Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists and media contacts, proactively generating press stories to enhance the association's visibility.
- Write compelling press releases, articles, and marketing content, contributing to creative PR campaigns from concept to execution.
- Support the development and execution of the association's social media strategy, ensuring engagement across platforms.
- Liaise with key industry audiences, including investment company members, analysts, fund management groups, and financial advisers, to strengthen the association's industry presence.
- Organise press events, roundtable discussions, and marketing forums, overseeing logistics, invitations, and agendas.
- Manage the production and distribution of the association's newsletters and ensure website content is up-to-date and engaging.
- Strong understanding of investment companies, fund management, savings markets, and/or financial services, with a keen interest in staying up to date with industry trends and business news.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling press releases, articles, and marketing materials while confidently engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
- Capable of interpreting financial data and industry trends to identify and develop engaging news stories.
- Experience in planning and organising events, including press briefings, roundtable discussions, and marketing initiatives.
- Comfortable using PowerPoint, Excel, and social media platforms (Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube) to support communication and marketing strategies.
