Canterbury Christ Church University is launching their new strategic framework - Vision. It places collaboration, courage, and creativity at its heart as they seek to enrich communities and shape sustainable futures. The Market Insight and Data Intelligence function plays a vital role in providing high-quality, actionable insights that inform strategic decisions across the University. Based within the Marketing, Recruitment and Communications department, the team supports a wide range of stakeholders across academic portfolio planning, marketing, and institutional development.
This role is central to delivering impactful market intelligence using both primary and secondary research methods, working with large data sets to generate clear, actionable outputs that drive improvements in performance, efficiency, and quality across the University.
- Experience collaborating with stakeholders to design research plans based on clear objectives and methodologies
- Skilled in conducting desk research, analysing data, and producing high-quality, actionable reports
- Strong understanding of student recruitment audiences, cycles, and market dynamics
- Proficient in both qualitative and quantitative research methods using primary and secondary data
- Awareness of sampling and data bias, with knowledge of mitigation strategies
- Strong analytical skills, with experience handling and interpreting large datasets
- Advanced Excel skills, including PivotTables and statistical techniques; confident using PowerPoint or similar tools for data visualisation
- Experience analysing sector data from sources such as UCAS, HESA, Ofqual, and ONS
- Ability to lead small projects and manage timelines effectively
- Experience supporting larger, multi-stage projects across the full research lifecycle
- Confident in sharing insights and contributing to stakeholder recommendations
