Chief of Staff to the Procurement Director
West London
£80-90k + 35% Bonus
The Talent Place has been retained by our global aviation client to recruit an exceptional Chief of Staff for a newly created role.
This is a fantastic opportunity for ambitious individuals seeking a rewarding challenge, to work very closely with the Procurement Director while fostering strong and impactful relationships with the senior leadership team.
Overview
The Chief of Staff plays a key role in overseeing business operations, aligning strategic initiatives, and supporting senior management in making informed decisions.
This role requires a dynamic individual with a strong business acumen, stakeholder management skills, and the ability to streamline processes to enhance efficiency, profitability, and growth.
The successful candidate will liaise with key stakeholders, and ensure the business operates smoothly to meet its strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning & Execution:
- Assist in organising corporate strategies in alignment with business goals.
- Analyse market trends, financial reports, and performance data to recommend improvements and opportunities for growth.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to implement business development plans and strategic initiatives.
Operations Management:
- Oversee daily business operations, ensuring processes and workflows are optimised for efficiency.
- Develop and enforce policies and procedures to maintain operational standards.
- Demonstrate resilience and the ability to multi-task within pressurised situations.
Stakeholder & Client Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, vendors, and internal teams.
- Act as a liaison between departments to ensure smooth communication and alignment with business objectives.
- Represent the company at industry events, client meetings, and other networking opportunities.
Team Alignment & Development:
- Liaise and influence cross-functional teams to drive performance and productivity.
- Work closely with department heads to ensure team goals are aligned with overall business strategy.
- Foster a collaborative work environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
- Regularly track, analyse, and report on KPIs to measure the success of strategic initiatives and operational effectiveness.
- Provide recommendations for process improvements, cost-saving measures, and new revenue opportunities.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior leadership and the executive team.
- Review reports and summarise/prioritise key points for the CEO.
Risk Management:
- Identify potential business risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and best practices.
- Collaborate with legal and finance departments to address any contractual or financial concerns.
Required Education, Experience and Skills
Education:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.
- An MBA is desirable but not essential
Experience and Skills:
- 2 Years experience of operating in a Chief of Staff level role
- 3+ years of experience in business management, management consultancy or related role.
- Strong financial acumen, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyse complex data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights.
- Proficiency in business software and tools (e.g., MS Office, CRM systems, project management tools).
