Our Client The Talent People is representing our client, an internationally established provider of engineered safety solutions with a strong global footprint across multiple continents. With a growing presence in Singapore and Southeast Asia, the organisation supports businesses in enhancing workplace safety standards through innovative, high-quality systems and products. Driven by increasing regulatory requirements and infrastructure development, the company is expanding its Singapore operations and seeking a commercially driven sales professional to accelerate market growth.

As the Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth in Singapore by managing existing customer relationships and developing new business opportunities across commercial and public sector projects. You will focus on engaging end-users directly while optimising the route-to-market strategy to maximise profitability and project success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify, pursue, and secure new commercial and government project opportunities to expand market share.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with consultants, contractors, architects, end-users, and channel partners to drive repeat business.
  • Manage inbound enquiries promptly, convert leads into confirmed orders, and maintain strong follow-up practices.
  • Negotiate commercial terms and pricing agreements to maximise profit margins and secure project awards.
  • Evaluate and determine the most effective sales channel (direct or distributor) to optimise profitability and control.
  • Work closely with internal product, marketing, and regional teams to ensure strong technical knowledge and coordinated project execution.
  • Conduct product presentations, technical briefings, and training sessions to clients and partners.
  • Prepare weekly sales updates, project tracking reports, and monthly/quarterly forecasts to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Monitor competitor activities, pricing trends, and market developments to maintain competitive positioning.
Experience Required:
  • 3–5 years of B2B sales experience, preferably in construction, engineering, industrial, or project-based sales environments.
  • Proven track record of securing projects and achieving or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong professional network within consultants, contractors, architects, or relevant industry stakeholders.
  • Experience managing distributors or channel partners is advantageous.
  • Strong financial acumen, including project costing, budgeting, and margin management.
  • Ability to work independently within a lean team structure.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Education / Qualification:
  • A diploma or Degree in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Additional sales or project management training will be an advantage.
