A Secondary School in Sembawang is seeking a Student Management Practitioner to provide coaching, mentoring, and intervention support for students identified by the school’s Student Management Team. The role involves sustained engagement with students, structured intervention planning, case documentation, and support for student management matters. The successful candidate will work closely with the school to guide students towards positive behavioural change while maintaining confidentiality, professionalism, and impartiality in all case-related work.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct coaching and mentoring to students identified by the school’s Student Management Team, including regular one-to-one and group sessions.
- Build rapport with students and guide them towards positive behavioural change.
- Maintain updated case notes and progress records for each student.
- Provide regular updates to the Student Management Team on student progress and intervention outcomes.
- Design and conduct structured intervention programmes for students requiring behavioural or conduct-related support.
- Prepare clear programme objectives, session plans, and post-programme evaluations.
- Provide investigative support for student management cases as directed by the school.
- Conduct interviews, gather relevant information, and prepare written reports to support disciplinary and welfare-related decisions.
- Maintain confidentiality and impartiality in all case-related work.
- Work with approximately 15 to 20 identified students on a sustained basis.
- Support ad hoc student management cases, where required.
Requirements
- Relevant professional qualification in counselling, social work, psychology, coaching, mentoring, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in youth work, school-based counselling, social work, student management, or a related field.
- Must be registered with the Ministry of Education (MOE), with registration remaining valid throughout the contract period.
- Must be legally authorised to work in Singapore and able to maintain valid work authorisation throughout the contract period, where applicable.
- Able to commit to the required working arrangement on school days.
Preferred Competencies
- Training or certification in youth work, behavioural intervention, or restorative practices.
- Experience designing and conducting structured intervention programmes.
- Experience in case investigation, report writing, or supporting formal disciplinary processes in a school or social service setting.
- Track record of working with at-risk youth in secondary school settings.
- Strong written communication skills for formal case documentation.
Work Arrangements
- Working Days: Minimum 3 days per week on school days
- Working Hours: 7 hours per day, within 8.00am to 6.00pm
- Venue: On-site
